About The Blogger

Pro Wrestling, sports and being a distance runner have been a part of my life for many years.

In 1968, this fan started watching pro wrestling on our local affiliate here in the San Francisco area.  Over the time, this blogger got to see the likes of Ray Stevens, Pat Patterson, Peter Maivia, Rocky Johnson, Pepper Gomez, Jose Lothario, Pedro Morales, Dory Funk Jr. and Dusty Rhodes.  Seeing matches at the Cow Palace in Daly City was fun.

In the mid 1970s, it was Lucha Libre from the Los Angeles area.  Though I didn't live there, watching it on television and seeing one show at the Olympic Auditorium was special.

Over the years, this fan has been able to see all of the major promotions in the area.  WWE, AEW, WCW, NWA, AWA, TNA, ROH and NJPW have been here at least once.  There are also several independent promotions that I've seen over the years.  They are every bit as important as the major ones.

In 2022, this blogger wanted to "give back" for what wrestling has done for me.  I decided to begin doing a blog on Southeast Asia Pro Wrestling.  At the time, no one worldwide was covering it.  In a matter of a couple of months, the blog known as Pro Wrestling Today - https://pwtsea.blogspot.com/  got its start.  Because of this in a very small way, along with another current blog, the pro wrestling scene in Southeast Asia is growing.  Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine recently shared their top 250 women wrestlers and several SEA women have made the list!

A couple of weeks ago, I wanted to expand to an area that needs a little promotion building.  Latin America, particularly South America does have quality and very good talent.  This blogger knows that very few people in America know a little something about wrestling in Mexico.  Some of it has to do with the recent shows that WWE and AEW have had south of America.

But how about countries such as Brazil, Colombia and Peru for example?  While completing some posts on wrestling in Mexico, doing the entire Latin America region is a priority.

Lucha Libre Latin America - https://luchalibre-la.blogspot.com/  has become that priority to this blogger and wrestling fan.  It means a lot.  Hopefully in time, this blogger will learn a lot more about Lucha Libre, the countries involved, the culture and the beauty and a whole lot more.  Hopefully, everyone will enjoy this.  If wrestling blogs with a promotion in, let's say Peru, becomes more popular in a year from now than it is today, the blog will be a success!  Also, please let me say that the blog is not about this blogger - but it's for the wrestlers, officials, staff and wrestling fans everywhere!  I'm grateful in wanting to do this!

Also, the blog can be translated from English to Spanish.  Please feel free to use the Translate box on the upper right hand side of the box.  Google Translate is not exactly the best but they are working on making it better.

In closing, please enjoy!  If there are any comments and/or questions, please always feel free to contact me.  Thank you.
